When my kids were younger I always had a radio on for them, my mom did for us when we were growing up. When ever I get the chance to get a cute cd I love to get them, have been wanring to get something for my new nephew. There are so many and the best ones I seen is Sleep Well for Kids: Under the Sea.
Soothing guided imagery and relaxing melodies create a nurturing atmosphere that can help children and their parents drift off to sleep, making bedtime a relaxing experience for everyone. Janet is your guide on a magical voyage under the sea, where we are introduced to a variety of friends with a simple message of kindness to all animals, and respect for sea life as we are relaxed to sleep. Children are introduced to the basics of breathing, progressive relaxation for their body, and visualization techniques for managing worry and relaxing into a restful sleep.
The guided imagery is spoken by the soothing tones of Janet Montgomery, who is a Certified Hypnotherapist. She works with people to help reduce stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, weight, smoking, goal setting, and pain management among other things. The relaxing sounds are so soothing that they will put your child to sleep.
There’s actually someone talking on it. That being said, she has the most calming voice I’ve ever heard. I would listen to this if i couldn’t go to sleep myself. Calming down our bodies isn’t always second nature. “Under the Sea” is a wonderful way to introduce the art of relaxing through imagery and sound. It pleasantly echoes of Mindfulness and Meditation practices.
