So many reasons I love Simple Green Smoothies. Green smoothies offer natural energy, weight loss, disease fighting antioxidants, and helps boost your immune system. Winter is on its way and now is a good time to start.
I did not understand what Simple Green Smoothies were until I read this book. I now have a new understanding and appreciation for our leafy vegetables. Your basic green smoothie is leafy greens + fruit + liquid base and if you want to be fancy some superfood toppings.
I started out with the Beginners Luck Green Smoothie and just as stated I am now hooked on these amazing smoothies. Simple Green Smoothies offers so many different recipes from a natural cold and flu remedy to pina colada pops ( remember it is GREEN ). I have tried so many of the recipes it is hard to pick my favorite BUT I will say Banana Split is ONE of my favorites. All you do is change a few ingredients and you have a healthy tasty Banana Split. My grandkids absolutely love this smoothie. So easy to get them to drink it and helps them get their veggies in one drink. They didn’t even realize it was “good” for them. The Kiwi Berry Punch is another favorite of mine – it is low calorie and full of nutrients that has a combination of the best fruits and veggies for the optimal healthy weight loss combination. This one isn’t green but definitely yummy and good for you.
While visiting their website I discovered that they have a 30-day Green Smoothie Challenge, which begins in January 1. I plan on attempting this challenge. All you need is a blender, fruits, dark leafy veggies and approximately 10 minutes. You will receive a weekly email with grocery lists, recipes and tips. During this challenge you still have to eat regular meals. Eat anything that you want through the 30 days but at the end you aren’t going to want all of the junk food as much as you used to. Natural vitamins and minerals helps nourish and revitalize your body.
