No one likes to hand over their hard-earned money without thinking about it first. Every person has a natural inclination to save as much money as possible. If you’re in the market for personal hygiene items, here is how to start saving on them.
Try the off brands
Not every name brand is “the best brand” out there. You may find a cheaper brand that works just as well. I can tell you that the off brand isn’t always the best one, but it never hurts to try. The off brands are usually right beside the name brands. Keep a log of which off brands you love and which ones you don’t.
Bulk buying is a must
When buying personal care items, buying in bulk always makes sense. Typically, this helps you save on the per unit price. It also means that you do not have to buy that personal care item for a while. If I don’t want 10 tubes of toothpaste, I will go halve-and-halve with a friend. She’ll pay for half and I’ll pay for half and we split the cost, right down the middle.
Stop using as much
When it comes to saving on personal care items, you’re going to save a lot more when you stop using as much. Use a tiny dab of toothpaste and don’t rub on as much deodorant. You’d be surprised as to how little you can get away with using.
Use the trial samples
Whenever you can come across a free trial size of something, use it! Trial sizes don’t last as long, but they do help stretch what you do have. Trial sizes are also great for taking places with you, instead of hauling around the big sizes.
Shop at your local Walmart Store
One of my favorite places to save on personal care items is at Walmart. Right now, you can get Efferdent Denture Cleaner (24 ct. & 78 ct.) at an inexpensive price, using coupons. Of course, the regular price is great too. Make sure you check out your Valpak envelopes to get extra Efferdent coupons and they are redeemable at Walmart.
