5 Tips On How You Can Save Money On Car Expenses

If you own a car, you must be aware of all the expenses you have to bear with it. Follow these tips to save money on these expenses, and still keep it in good condition:

1. Saving money on purchase: While looking for a car, consider buying the smallest model for your family needs. Smaller cars are lighter, they are cheaper too, and they consume less gas than their bigger counterparts.

2. Saving money on maintenance: Keep your vehicle properly tuned, as it proves to be much cheaper than having it repaired after a major problem. Have the oil filter and the oil changed regularly, in addition to the air filter and other fluids. Also use proper tires on your car. Keep your tires properly inflated, and get them balanced and rotated at least once in a year.

3. Saving money on fuel: Pump gas on your own if possible. Self-serving is cheaper than full service stations. Try car pooling, run your car at the right speeds, and try to minimize the number of trips you make to the market in your car. Look around for cash-back reward cards, or find the deals in which you get free fuel, even if it is very less.
