For all drivers, there are five safety tips which are absolutely important. In fact to ensure safe driving in almost all conditions, these five steps are cardinal to your well being.
1. Start by checking the tire pressure
As we all know, the way your car moves depends greatly on the tires. So, do check the air pressure in the tire’s of your car at least once a month. This is minimum. Ideally, you must do it once a week.
Tires when not inflated properly or as it is called in an under inflate state can build up heat. This can lead to bursting as it is accompanied by a rather rapid loss of air pressure- often quite suddenly. One of the most dangerous situations while driving, a tire “blowout” is also known to have caused loss of life.
Besides this, underinflated tires lead to several handling problems. This causes increased rolling resistance, which in turn ends up destroying fuel economy.
2. Next, check you battery
One of the most common mistakes we make amidst all our daily stressors is not turning off the lights in our car. Now, while many cars today have lights that shut off automatically, many don’t and one must always remember to turn them off.
Each time your battery goes dead, it ends up losing power.
In general cases, a battery needs to be replaced once every four years. However, in case you’ve had several instances of the car battery going dead, it would be significantly weaker and need to be replaced at a shorter interval.
