I love using sustainable products or recycled products. Anything that helps save our Earth is great with me. So let me introduce you to Recover Shirts that are a sustainable clothing company making waves in the outdoors/athletics industry. This company is known for their innovative method of creating t-shirts out of 8 plastic bottles! How great is that? I love that they have the technology to reduce and reuse. Below you will find a little info about the company.
Recover began on the bike trails of North Carolina in 2009, when two friends Bill Johnston and John Riddle, decided to make their passion for business ethics and protecting the environment into a clothing company. Determined to make their vision of an entire manufacturing process as ecologically friendly and socially responsible as possible, they combined their skills and jumped into the market. 6 years later, Recover has lived up to their early expectations and their range of eco-friendly, recycled apparel has grown. You can read more about how the brand creates their garments here – http://recoverbrands.com/process – including products that are entirely made in their home state of North Carolina.
Aside from regularly launching new products and featuring at events such as the New York Yankees Sustainability Game, Recover has recently won a 2016 Sustain Charlotte Award recognizing their innovative work to address the area’s environmental, economic, and equity challenges. Recover has also gotten involved with their community in a big way this fall by providing the t-shirts for the Charlotte Marathon on Nov. 12 and sponsoring a trail-building service project at Interbike’s Fall Cyclofest as well as serving as the event’s official merchandise sponsor.
I found the shirts to be soft, lightweight and easy to wash and wear and to pack. We travel a lot and we need lightweight easy to care for clothing in our travels. I urge you to try these shirts and see what you think. They also carry sweatshirts, coozies, and caps. they would make an excellent gift for that person who is active and loves to give back.
