The trip by Road
Perfect for the holidays or any special occasion. And we all have a coffee lover in our family. While the tin will make a beautiful display piece and the two coffees will just make life a little bit better.
As old as I am I did not know that L & N Railroad stood for Louisville and Nashville, and I live in Kentucky. While the Louisville & Nashville Railroad provided dining car service like true southerners do. Such as the Humming Bird and Pan-American. But their coffee was talked about the most. Because it has a sweet gentle molasses aroma, you will love brewing the coffee just for the aroma. They have done some research and matched their medium blend to the coffee originally used in L&N dining cars.
While the Pullman Company also provided dining car service for numerous railroads, they did not operate their own dining cars. Odd, huh? And because of that fact it truly was a “national blend” of coffee. Rich, full-bodied, smooth yet subtle and complex.
I love these little soaps. They are based on the soap supplied in every Pullman sleeping car from the 1940’s through the end of their service in 1968. It is a luxurious unscented oatmeal shea butter. And this Old World recipe blends virgin olive oil with traditional ingredients to create this triple milled, vegetable soaps. And each bar is stamped PULLMAN IN the soap and is individually wrapped in the original Pullman packaging.
