My daughter has her OWN STYLE, and she loves to create so this year she wanted to design her school supplies.  We are big fans of DUCK TAPE, so we went shopping on got a couple of rolls for her to begin her project.  Duck Tape has over 250 prints and colors to choose from, making each project unique in its own way.  We love when our kids use their creativity so we always encourage it and support them any way we can.

When we got home, her first project was decorating the notebooks.  We bought cheap folders at Target. You don’t need a lot to do these projects~ the notebooks, Duck Tape, and scissors to complete this project.

She cut pieces of tape and decorated the notebooks in her designs.

Now on to the project we want to share with our readers is HOW TO MAKE A COIN POUCH.

Materials Needed:

  • Duck Tape (2 different designs)
  • Exacto Knife
  • Ruler
  • Sandwich Bag/Snack Bag

Instructions:

  1.  Measure your sandwich bag- our baggie was 6 inches, so we cut FOUR (6.5 inches each) strips of Duck Tape (we did 2 of each design).
  2. Place 2 strips of tape (6.5 in) on each side of the baggie.
  3. Cut TWO 3 inches stripes of tape (same color) for the side of the pouch
  4. Place one strip (3 in) on each side
  5. Write name on tape and DONE!

Here is a video to watch the instructions:

This is a super simple project that comes in handy for school.  My daughter will be taking the bus every morning so she will be using her pouch to put her bus pass and money in for school.

Duck tape is so much fun to create and design.  My daughter is still working on projects- she wants to decorate pencils, pencil case, a picture frame for her locker, and more notebooks!  She loves going on Duck Tapes Pinterest page to get ideas. Please head to DuckTape.com and see all the fresh tapes!  I want so many of them, and I foresee us making a lot more projects.

Do you want to WIN a collection of  DUCK TAPE?  Please visit  Duck Tapes Pinterest page and let us know what you want to make- leave a comment on this blog.  (below). We will pick a winner (randomly) on August 22nd.

I would totally make the book tracking pennant banner. The washi tapes are so cute. The DuckTape Duckling Paint Splatter is my favorite.

There are a ton of cute designs that I would have never thought to make using the duck tape. The pencil toppers look so cute along with the tablet cover
