All of us plan to look better and look more lean in time for swim suit season At least most of my friends do. Its so hard to get focused and get started. A great resource is Shannon Leavitt’s book Learn to be Lean. I received the book and began reading it right away. It made so much sense to me that I need to be physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy to begin to strengthen and tone my body.
Reading this book I became aware that I could create and sustain a great metabolism thru science and spirituality.
I learned that crash dieting doesn’t work and I need to accept weight loss as both a lifestyle chance and a journey.
I gained valuable advice and motivation to achieve my fitness goals through yoga.
I also learned that my mind, body and spirit are all essential to my successful weight loss that is long lasting.

Written and intended as a workbook, Learn To Be Lean offers a “practice” approach to body-mind-spirit integration, fitness, and weight loss that is multidimensional yet also systematic and accessible. It does not offer a diet or “get fit quick” approach or unsustainable results. It acknowledges that your path to wellness is a personal, dynamic process and needs to be honored as one.
I love that the book comes with pages to write down your progress. It has spaces to jot down your experiences and thoughts. It has yoga moves and pictures. It has charts to record your daily moves. The book has spaces to write your motivations and your downfalls. It has coaching tops. A wonderful book for the beginner or experienced yoga fitness body.
