Every weekend we have a game night, and I have been looking for a new and exciting game. The board game, Ani-gram-it, is similar to Scrabble, but instead of letters on the tiles, there is something from five categories of animal features: how animals move, their body covering, what do they eat, and whether they have a skeleton. The tiles are double-sided, with the typed name of a body part on one side and a close-up photograph of that part on the other. Players have seven tiles and use them to build an animal (for example, a player could use four tiles to make a sea turtle: limbs + eyes + shell + beak). The next player can either build a new animal or add tiles to change the animals that are already on the board.
We have so much playing this game, and the fights we have are just to funny, it is like no body likes to lose. This board game is nothing like any board game I had played. You simply just grow animals or extend them to make longer ones. Every child loves to learn about different things, this would be just perfect for them. From science to nature they will have a fun time learning
Ani-gram-it is for 2-4 players and recommended for children ages 8+, younger children who have an interest in biology will really like this game (use your own judgement when playing a game with small cardboard pieces). You could also try out the Ani-gram-it To Go card game or ferret iPad app.
We have my son learning and playing trying to keep him active and motivated. Teaching him new things and seeing his face when he learns is what it is all about. He even has fun and tries real hard to get things right. and he gets it.
I would definitely recommend this game! Children who love science (or animals in general), interesting puzzles, or parents who want to include more activities at home, will all really love this game! This is one of those unique games that you will be so happy to own and you’ll be pleased by how naturally your children learn from playing it!
