I just love everything about Costa Rica. I love how it’s undisturbed by most of the things the Western world has to deal with; there’s no stress there. They don’t let things bother them. It’s far too beautiful there to even consider worrying about something! Not only is it the perfect place to take in beautiful views, you can also have some experiences of a lifetime. Here are my top 10 things to do in Costa Rica!
There’s a lot of wildlife in Costa Rica, so much so that you’ll probably spot something you didn’t even know existed at every turn. However, the birds are something else. People choose to birdwatch here as there are all kinds of beautiful and colorful species. You’ll see plenty if you choose to stay in a villa near Manuel Antonio Park. The Toucan is one of my favorites!
- Horseback Riding
What could be better than trotting along the beach on horseback as you listen to the gentle waves of the sea? It’d take me a while to think of something! Horseback riding in Costa Rica is a wonderful experience and is one of the most exciting ways to see the views.
- Snorkeling/Scuba Diving
The marine life here is well worth a look, so take your pick between snorkeling and scuba diving. Do both if you like! You’ll love the colorful creatures of the sea as they swim right past you. You’ll wish you’d done it sooner!
Surfing can be an exhilarating experience and skill to have. You can get lessons nearby if you’re worried that you won’t know what to do. It’s mainly about keeping your body balanced and knowing when to go for a wave. The right board helps too!
- White Water Rafting
White water rafting is a real adrenaline rush! If you book an adventure tour, you’ll be able to enjoy it properly with no worries.
- Hot Air Ballooning
Being up high in a hot air balloon might frighten some people, but it really shouldn’t! This experience is so magical that you’ll soon forget about any fear of heights. The views can be enjoyed fully up here.
Hiking will help to keep you active on your trip and you can get up close to volcanoes and other natural wonders of Costa Rica.
Yep, Costa Rica is even a wonderful place to relax and gather your thoughts. Even on an adventure trip, you should take some time to relax. There are beaches aplenty, as well as hot springs! The natural hot springs are free and great for a dip.
There’s a reason Costa Rica is said to be one of the best places in the world for golfing! I’m not a huge golf fan, but you have to have a game or two when you’re here.
Zipping at the speed of light over the tops of the trees is an experience you won’t forget in a hurry!
I hope you love these suggestions as much as me!
