I have recently discovered Muichic Natural Jewelry and love everything about it. It is sustainable and organic jewelry designed in Vermont and ethically made in Colombia. Using the Tagua seed as the raw material, they believe in fun and natural fashion, blending design with eco-consciousness. Fair trade, unique, bold and playful jewelry…. finally! Tagua is a seed that grows wild in the rainforest of South America. After drying, it becomes rock solid resembling ivory in color, texture and hardness, hence its nickname: “vegetable ivory”. These dried seeds are dyed, cut, drilled and turned into beautiful beads that become natural and organic jewelry. How amazing is that?
This pair of earrings from Muichic are so playful and colorful. They are my favorite pair at the moment. When I first saw them – they reminded me of slices of limes and lemons – which reminds me of my all time favorite drink – Margaritas! So they are my go to earrings when I go out on the town. Two tagua slivers, with skin on the edges, are grouped together in a single jump ring. Simple and naturally beautiful. Surgical steel findings. These tagua earrings are fair trade and ethically handmade in Colombia using eco friendly dyes. These are some of the best made earrings that I own.
Muichic offers all types of jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Muichic was launched by an architect and designer from Bogota’ who found inspiration when he stumbled upon this amazing raw material called “Tagua” during a holiday in Colombia. The sheer beauty and versatility of this seed drove him to connect the dots between green lifestyle and chic product design.
Muichic make unique accessories that are environmentally friendly and gracefully chic make up our natural bijoux collection… bold, playful and colorful goodness for your body. I love everything about this company and all of their products.
