Miu Color Aroma Diffuser

Miu Color Aroma Diffuser uses regular cold tap water and there is a fill line. It is a plug in unit.  It has the time on it which is a super feature, but it is in 24-hour mode and not the 12-hour I am used to, so getting used to the 24-hour mode is something you will need to do if you are going to use it as a clock too.

It mists the water up into the air, and it has modes, “ON” for continuous mist, and then settings for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours.  If you shut it off, it will not mist but the clock still works, and the colors can still run too if you just want to see the colors or use it as a nightlight.

The one feature I love about this diffuser is the lights.  It glows different colored lights switching them and looks so pretty.  They do have a button where you can set it to one particular color if you have a preference.  They also have a color for a white light which you can switch to “warm” which is a very soothing color for your eyes or you can press the button for a brighter intensity white ( I prefer the warm personally – makes a great nightlight).

You can add essential oils to the diffuser.  It takes 300 mL of water maximum and it calls for 1-2 drops per 100 mL.  I am not an expert on essential oils but I do have peppermint oil that I heard is good for headaches so I always have some on hand to rub onto my temples if I need it.  I used that oil (you need to use pure essential oil) and I dropped in 5 drops into the water having filled it up 300 mL.  I left it on continuous mist.  The unit shuts off automatically as far as the misting goes when the water runs out.  The other features will still work if on (and the clock regardless of whether off or on) so I was not worried about setting a time.  I kept it in my room and as soon as my daughter got near my room she commented on the smell of peppermint. Since I was in the room the whole time and had the smell of peppermint already, it was good to know that the unit works so  well that someone else noticed the smell and true enough you only need a few drops of the oil to make it that way.  I would think if you just want to add moisture into the room you would not even need to add the oil and just add the water and use it as a humidifier. Sometimes you just don’t want a scent.  I must admit, though,  I cannot wait to get my hands on lavender essential oil for nighttime.

I am extremely pleased with this as I have been looking for a humidifier type product but a lot of them I found were bulky, and this one does not take up much room at all.  The lights on it were an added bonus, not something I was looking for per se but after seeing them I love that feature and the clock also is great and it is not as bright as some digital clocks so does not shine in my face at night but I can still see it if I need to check the time in the middle of the night.
