Mistakes To Avoid While Shopping For The Bride

Before shopping for the grand day, the bride must be prepared with all her planning about her dress and jewelry. Here are some common mistakes that must be avoided during the shopping activities.

Shop Early:  You may be engaged for a long period of time, but start shopping maximum a year in advance from the wedding day. Try to visit the bridal salons, only when you are ready to buy the wedding dress. If you are trying lehengas or sarees, you may fall in love with one or the other. It can be disappointing if you are not prepared.

Steep Discounts: Never become tempted with the discounts and offers. Your wedding dress should be tried and fitted properly with your figure. It will not be wise to purchase the wedding dresses with the lucrative offers within a limited period. Some brides may spend a huge amount in fixing and altering the wedding dresses bought with steep discounts.

Take Opinions From Too Many People: A sister, best friend or mother can be the best guide for choosing your wedding dress. But, if you accumulate 10 different suggestions from different people, you may get confused with your final decision. You require an honest decision, which may only be obtained from your closed ones like, a sister or your mother.

Try Too Many Dresses:  According to a renowned wedding dress designer, you may limit your trials up to 10 dresses. This is because if you are trying more than that, it may lead to a huge confusion and you will end up buying the wrong dress for your wedding.

End Up With The Wrong Size:  Generally, a wedding dress like the lehengas may be smaller or larger than the normal sizes of the clothes. For example, the men’s sherwani must be checked by the bridegroom, so that it fits with his physique properly.

If your dress is not fitting you properly, you should never opt for a crash diet before your wedding. You just need to find the right size for your figure. Make sure that you are ordering the dress according to your present body size.

Try Dresses Which You Cannot Afford: You may be attracted to a magnificent traditional lehenga on a mannequin displayed at the store. You may like to try the dress just for fun, even if it’s not coming within your price range. But, this is not a very wise step as it may lead to disappointment or heartbreak for you. Before you are hitting the bridal store, ensure a clean budget.

Stick To A Particular Style: It is advisable that you are flexible with the style of dresses. You may enter a store with a particular style in your mind and leave with a completely different style of dress for your wedding. For example, if the bride is fuller in the waist area, then a fitted dress may not look good on her.

Extra Costs: Always keep the extra costs in mind. Only the list price of the dress should not be accounted. You should also consider the alterations, taxes and the delivery charges.

All these factors must be kept in mind while choosing the wedding dress for the bride. Besides, you must choose the store wisely. For example, if you are little heavy in shape, you must choose a store, which contains a huge number of plus size dresses. Also, never get influenced by someone and end up choosing the wrong style of dress.
