When Amanda was little she loved to watch Dora and her my little pony, those days are long and far behind us. Can not believe my little girl will be turning 16. She will sit with us and watch any Dvd I get to review and so does Devon.
Recently I was given the chance to review the MY LITTLE PONY: THE COMPLETE SERIES: We sat down and watched as if she was still little, her curled up next to me, I miss those days.
Little Ponies, including the Earth Ponies, Unicorns, Pegasus Ponies, Flutter Ponies, Sea Ponies, Baby Sea Ponies, their human friends Megan, Danny and Molly and, of course, their dragon friend, Spike! Together, they live a life of games, songs and harmony with allies like the Bushwoolies and Furbobs. But, occasionally, there are problems in Ponyland and the Little Ponies of Paradise Estate must face evil witches, goblins, Stone Backs, Grundles and more! Now you can come join in the fun and adventure with My Little Pony: The Complete Series!
The ponies’ most cherished friend is Megan, a young girl of about 13 who was brought to Ponyland to help them in their darkest hour. She continued to visit her friends and often served as leader when trouble struck. Eventually, her younger brother Danny (probably 11) and sister Molly (around 9) met the ponies, and the three of them came to stay in Ponyland for extended visits.
The My Little Pony toy-line for girls was released in 1983 and it became so popular that Hasbro produced two TV-Specials that aired in 1984 and 1985, along with a feature film in the summer of 1986. A weekday animated series followed that September, featuring a 10-minute My Little Pony segment followed by another Hasbro cartoons (The Glo Friends, MoonDreamers and the Potato Head Kids). The series only lasted 65 episodes over the course of two-seasons.
Remembering these cute ponies with Amanda was a lot of fun, she might be turning 16; but she is still my baby as well as her brother. You can find this DVD over at Shout Out Factory. I am sure you will enjoy it also.
