Let me just start off by saying that when it comes to brows, I don’t like to stray from my brown powder. It’s been a solid staple in my makeup bag for about three years now, and I’m a firm believer in the saying “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. I signed up for this product thinking I would use it once or twice to really get the feel of it and give an honest review, and of course, I forgot to say what color my brows were when I signed up, so I didn’t get both of the right colors.
At first, I believed that the tinted brow cream (right), would be the better option for my brows, as the light, seemed to be a little too light. I put both on my brows, one having each one of the products. I was going to take a picture, but I couldn’t stop laughing at the dramatic difference. The brow cream was extremely too dark for me, and it could have been because now I have ombre hair, and the dark brown against my blonde hair was too much, or it could have been that it was just too dark for me. But the consistency of the product was good, I kept it on for about ten minutes, and my only complaint was that it took a while to dry. You can see in the picture above that it’s a wet product, as you would assume with a cream, and maybe I put too much on, but it took a while to actually dry, and I didn’t have the time for that. If you’re like me, and you throw your brows on quickly before you leave because you were supposed to leave ten minutes ago- you don’t have time to worry about if your brows are dry by the time you’re getting the starbucks you shouldn’t be because you were due at that place about ten minutes ago. I think if you put a brow powder over the cream, it would set more matte, however, I don’t have a brow powder in that color. All in all, this specific wasn’t for me, but I’m also not a huge fan of liquid brow products.
Let’s talk about the brow pencil. Personally, I’m scared to use brow pencils. I feel like the lines I make are harder to get away if I go too crazy with filling them in. I stick with powder, but I stepped out of my comfort zone with these products. I thought the color of the brow pencil was going to be too light, because when I tested on my hand, it seemed light, it was named light, and I have always used dark products on my brows. However, putting it onto my brows, I fell in love. It matched the color I was using as a powder perfectly. Okay, maybe it was a touch light, but I loved it. I loved the hold it gave my brows. It was like a thinner pomade or wax, and gave great color. I actually think it made my brows look done, but not like I had product in them, if that makes sense? Just like my natural brows looked great. Originally, I was putting my powder on top of the pencil, but the pencil was coming off onto my powder brush and just- ick. So I was using either or. Let me tell you, I was reaching for this pencil more then my holy-grail powder. Change is in the air. There’s a brow brush on the other end of the pencil, and once you brush out the brows, you’re ready to go. In my opinion, faster then powder, and it stays longer. My only complaint is that I don’t feel like there’s a whole lot of product in the container. 0.007 is what you get for $32, and I can get other products with more product for a lot cheaper if I take a stroll to a beauty store. I also think I ran out of the product in less than two weeks, and I do my brows daily.
I think that if you’re looking for a new product and all else has failed, these products are a definite try. Especially the brow pencil (I’m currently fighting with my student bank account on if I’m ordering another one). The brow products look good on all skin tones ( I tested on my friends to make sure of this), and all in all, as I’ve been saying are amazing products. They do exactly what they are advertised to do, and they do it wonderfully.
