Summer time is here and that means all the kids are out of school. When it is summer time here we tend to do a lot more reading. And for that I am always on the look out for new and exciting books. Gran On A Fan is one of the favorites here, the kids are asking why is she on a fan.
The kids need a stable thing in their lives, and the reading and learning is a really big thing in this house. Especially having two young nieces and nephews and we can save them for our Liam. The best part about this book is that they are actually learning something.
These short, wacky comics are designed to teach beginning readers the five short vowel sounds and will make anyone a fan of phonics. They are learning vowels and reading as well as looking at the pictures. Even reading this book makes Devon laugh and he says the words with me as I read. For me as a mom and an aunt these are great things and being a mother of an Autistic child, him learning anything is always great.
The second book thats a great combination with this one is Lazy Bear, Crazy Bear, another book that is not only teaching your children to read, also 5 word vowels. Finally, a phonics primer that’s not un-bear-able! Lazy Bear, Crazy Bear is a collection of zany cartoons carefully designed to teach all five long vowel sounds. Perfect for beginners just learning to decode words and for older or reluctant readers who just need a refresher in foundational phonics rules. Bold, graphic illustrations from award-winning artist Ben Hodson.
We are loving these books and are so glad that we have the chance to read them.
