Today the UPS man dropped off something awesome! I got a Katazoom Wall Decal. I chose one that said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. – Thomas Edison.” I wanted it for Liam’s room, (because he heard this quote on Girl Meets World and really liked it,) but hubby liked it so much as well, that we put it in the living room. This decal measures 22.5″ by 6.5″ and retails for $19.99.
Putting up the decal was pretty easy. I followed the enclosed instructions. Wash wall with rubbing alcohol, then use painter’s tape to mark where you want the decal. I used a level to make sure my top and bottom “line” was straight. Then, (and this is a MUST) flip your decal over, and rub your credit card over the words on the back. The purpose of this is to make sure the words are adhered to the top film. Once you’re done with that, peel off the back. Line it up with your tape lines, carefully smooth it onto your wall, then start rubbing your credit card over the letters. Word of advice, when you start to peel the top paper up, go slowly. If for some reason one of the letters isn’t sticking to your wall, simply use your credit card again to smooth it onto the wall. Sounds hard, but trust me, it’s pretty easy.
The end result is great! It adds such a nice touch to any room in your home, or office. Katazoom has so many decals to choose from, and you can even personalize a decal. They even do photo canvases. (That would be a perfect Christmas gift for Grandparents!) I wish Katazoom was around when I was doing Liam’s nursery. That would have been great! Matter of fact, I told him once he transitions into his “big boy” room, (we share a room due to his anxiety and nightmares.) he can pick a special decal for his wall.
