We recently moved into a new home and my son’s bedroom décor is lacking. His walls are blank, without any decoration that shows his personality and taste. I have been looking for ways to decorate his room. Perhaps you have a new bedroom to decorate or just want to spruce up your current décor. Check out these tips to decorate a bedroom.
Take Out What You Don’t Want
When it comes to decorating a bedroom, you’ll want to take out what you don’t want. This is the perfect time to declutter and get rid of items that are just taking up space. This can include any toys your kids don’t use anymore, as well as clothes that they don’t fit in. I enjoy less rather than more when it comes to décor, so I always remove items that are no longer relevant.
Pick a Few Focus Pieces
When you have too much going on in a room, it can be crazy. My advice would be to pick a few pieces that you love and don’t overdo it. You need to relax in your bedroom, so keep this tip in mind. Pick a nice wall piece like a poster or a piece of furniture that you love. You can use that as the focus piece.
Have Fun with It
If you’re going to be spending a lot of time in your room, you want it to have a little bit of you in it. I like to have fun with bedroom décor and enjoy the process. Put your own flavor in your room!
Add the Signature Piece
When you’re decorating a bedroom, you need a signature piece. My favorite way to add that signature piece is to go through Your Comic Story and grab my own custom comic. All you need to share is your event and they will draw a custom comic book or poster that is personalized to your life. They’re located in New York, but they have customers all over the world. You can also find Your Comic Story on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ so they’re easy to get ahold of.
