How To Keep Your Pets Healthy

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Nature’s Recipe®. The opinions and text are all mine.

Our dog, Brandi, is our little cuddlier and the newest addition to our family. We love her playful character, and she is such a bundle of fun. We are all about keeping our pets healthy, and so we want to share some ideas on how to keep your pets healthy.

How To Keep Your Pets Healthy

Shelter:

It is our responsibility to provide shelter that protects our pets from heat, cold, rain, and wind.  This is important for all pets- outside or inside pets should always have their spot they can go to relax or sleep.  All of our pets sleep inside; it is too cold where we live for them to be outside to sleep. We have areas in the house that are just for our dogs and cats. They all know where their area is and they do pretty well at night, not much wandering around the house.  Also, we make sure they have their bedding, and it is cleaned weekly. It is imperative to keep our pets healthy and warm.

Exercise:

Exercise is one of the main ways to keeping pets healthy. Walking your dog every day is a must.  Grab that leash and go outside for at least 15-30 minutes, also remember this is beneficial to you as well!  Brandi is a small dog, so 15 minutes of walking around the yard 2x a day are perfect for her. This allows her to run and breathe in all that fresh air we have, plus it’s her time with us.

Water:

Water is the most important and cheapest nutrient you can give your pet.  Plus water is healthy for everyone even our pets. Make sure pets know where their individual water bowl is and change it every day. Giving your dog water 2x a day will keep them hydrated and healthy.

Playtime:

Playtime is different than exercise. Dogs need companionship just like us, so giving a little attention goes a long way. Get a toy you can throw, and they can play catch or play tug a war. Brandi has a small squeaky toy she loves for us to throw for her, even when we are watching TV we can still play with her. This helps with their emotional needs.

Food:

All pets deserve to live long, vibrant lives so what we give them to eat is very important.  For Brandi, we give her Nature’s Recipe Small Breed Grain Free Easy to Digest Chicken, Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin Recipe. This recipe is made with high-quality protein and easily digestible carbohydrates, and this high-quality recipe supports easy digestion that will keep her full of spirit and energy. Nature’s Recipe Dog Food has a recipe for all dogs!  Check out what recipe will work for your pet HERE.

Nature’s Recipe is at Walmart Now!

We have some exciting news for our readers!  Nature’s Recipe Dog Food is now available at Walmart stores. When I got that news I was super excited because I don’t have to go across town to the pet store, now I just head to Walmart that is within five miles of our house, so convenient!  I go to Walmart at least 3 times a week for stuff so now I can get Brandi’s food right along with ours which makes my day!  Also, the price is even lower than my regular pet store, so that makes this even sweeter. I can save money and time by purchasing my Brandi’s healthy dog food at Walmart for a great price.

Next time you are at Walmart, Pet Owners, make sure you check out Nature’s Recipe in the dog food aisle and provide your dog with a healthy meal option that is easy on your pocketbook!

Nature’s Recipe is our pet’s healthy food because it protects the skin and coat, is easy to digest and helps maintain a healthy weight. All the ingredients are real, so that is a major PLUS! There is no corn or wheat. No artificial flavors or preservatives and no poultry by-product meal, which makes both Brandi and me happy!

Hey, pets are people too:) And the best way that I've found to keep my little one happy is through a good well-balanced diet and a daily walk of around 15 to 20 minutes per day like your article highlights. Great site, will share on Facebook!

I like having pets and everyone like to have pets especially kids. Most of the people don't follow all the above tips you have mentioned including me. I just got a clear difference between exercising and playing with pets. I do both but not in the same day. So I should change this and also you mentioned the good brand and healthy food for the pet. I would like to change the usual food we provide to our pet. Thanks for sharing the helpful article.

I have an over 5 year old labrador. I do not know how much that is in dog years but he is getting old but so far the only disease he had is flu ha ha. Pets evolves more into a family with time.

Never had a pet. Too scared I might not be able to take care of any well enough that they'd end up suffering in my care. Don't want that. I gotta learn these tips by heart if I really want one. Thanks for the share!

Thanks for sharing! Haven't tried this brand yet but I will surely give this a try. I reckon my dog will love this too. Love the many food options!
