The memories I have of my grandfather growing up are wonderful. Every Sunday, my Pa would pick us up and take us out, either to the amusement park, flea market or shopping, then when we were all done he would take us to lunch. So many wonderful memories. He was a wonderful man, that would do anything for his family, especially his four grandchildren! He was a clock repairman and he taught all of us how to build a clock and fix them. We would spend hours in the basement, putting a clock together and it was so much fun!
My Pa passed away about 7 years ago, he had Alzheimer’s and needed a senior home care nurse. My Nanny tried for many years to do it on her, but she was not a spring chicken and needed the help. With Alzheimer’s, my Pa had a habit of leaving the house and we would look for him all over, most of the time he would be in the basement, tinkering around with his clocks. But the scare we had would be horrible.
