Ever since I hit puberty, my skin became sensitive to break-outs. I’ve tried a lot of facial cleansers (because of the great advertisements) but most of them caused me break-outs. Right now, I still have break-outs to some facial cleansers I try and I can’t help trying out new ones specially those products with great advertisement.
When The Healing Tree sent me their Bamboo Charcoal Soap, I was excited to try it since there are only 4 ingredients in their Bamboo Charcoal Soap. Yes that’s right! 4 familiar ingredients which are the following: Vegetable Oil, Water, Glycerin, and Bamboo Charcoal. None of those ingredients which I can’t even pronounce.
Here is a short description of the Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap from The Healing Tree:

naturally moisturize itself. There’s no residue like other soaps,
contains only four simple ingredients, and has a rich lather.

I opened the box and noticed that the scent is similar to a subtle charcoal scent. It’s not bad but different from the other scented facial cleansers I’ve used. I also noticed and liked the pretty engraved logo on the soap.
The Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap also has a dark gray color, almost black for me and when I tried it on my face, it gave a light grayish-colored sud. It didn’t really produce that much bubbles and sud. I like that it made my face feel clean. It didn’t dry out my skin and didn’t cause any break-outs as well. I also like that the charcoal-scent of the soap didn’t stick to my skin. It is very easy to rinse off and I didn’t feel any soap residue after rinsing it.
I liked the Bamboo Charcoal Soap from The Healing Tree. It’s like going back to the basics and I like that it’s all natural and free from chemicals and other ingredients of a regular cleanser/soap.
