Have Fun With The Best Beauty Winter Trends

Summer is over but that doesn’t mean that the fun with your hair and makeup has to stop. Fall and winter is a great time to experiment with the latest trends in beauty and hair. From red, red lips to metallic sheens to elegant topknots and ponytails, winter is going to be anything but boring this year.

Red Lips – Always On Trend

We don’t know what it is about winter, but it always seems to bring out the glamourous vamp in us. Get yourself to the nearest Sephora or Nordstrom makeup counter, and lock down the hottest shades of the season. Wear it for holiday parties and for evenings out with hot dates, and pair those lips with an equally arresting updo for a fabulous overall look.

Emphasize And Bat Those Lashes

Eyelashes are making a comeback after a few seasons of going bare. Long, exaggerated lashes emphasize the eyes and make them look a lot bigger. Cosmo has a nice roundup of the latest and most fashion-forward mascaras available this season. Whether it’s the mascara with the blue shades or the ones with microfibers that extend your lashes to impossible lengths, you can find something to work with the look you want to create. Fake lashes are always an option, but they are a pain to maintain, so we don’t recommend them.

Tie Your Hair Up In Knots & Twists

French topknots, French twists in updos are two of the trendiest looks in hair for a night out on the town. To modernize the look a bit more, make sure to pull out some stray baby hairs to frame your face. The baby hairs will soften the severity of the look. Wear it with a fun dress, and pair it with the on-trend red lips, and you will be turning heads everywhere you go.

Headbands Are For The Fun & Lazy

If you want to easily modernize your look without too much work, just take advantage of the sporty headband look. Look for headbands wrapped in leather or, for headbands that are simply decorated. They go with everything, and can even accentuate the French updo you have going on.

Channel Your Inner Goth

Dark, vampire-inspired lips are back in, along with all that entails. The gloomy glam look was spotted all over the runways, and they make getting dressed pretty easy. As long as you are in black, the look matches. For major inspiration, check out places like Pinterest. Just a note: dark, goth-inspired makeup really, really does not work with lighter colors like pastels and neutrals. If you want to do goth just right, you have to commit to the whole look.

Rock The Ponytail Up Or Down

Both low and high ponytails were in display all over the runways this season. To rock the high ponytail, place it high on your head, and accentuate the look with large, beautiful earrings. For the low ponytail, adorn them prettily with crystal barrettes and other hair jewelry for a graceful and elegant evening look.
