I wanted to share a post from Sue’s Review’s is a blog about everything that we use or need everyday. Sue loves to find interesting deals and info for her readers. Hope you check her blog out.
I know this just had to be the first place to talk about is Hoover Dam. It is not too far from Vegas and well worth checking out when you come to Visit! When you head to the dam you will see lake Mead. The water level has gone down over the years so much. Its so pretty to see.
On the way to the dam there is a few pull offs so you can take pictures. The day these pictures were taken I was with some friends from Australia. I don’t know what the hole was used for but it was pretty far from where were were. My friend zoomed in to get this photo.
And this must be some kind of look out to watch the dam. This was pretty far above the dam as well. You have to look to find it or you will think it is part of the mountain area.
The white line is where the water use to be. It keeps going lower and lower every time I have seen it.
You can stay outside and walk over the bridge or drive across it. As soon as you get to the other side you are in Arizona. The photo above was taken from the Arizona side looking over at the new bridge being built in the distance.
Just amazing to see this dam and to think of how many years ago it was made.
They have tours of inside the dam, I have done this a few times and is very interesting.
And to think of how big it is inside!
You have to hear how amazing it is how they thought of using the dam to benefit the city.
It is very high to look down when you walk the outside area.
If you go you have to do this just to get the real feel of how this project so amazing and to think of the work they did by hand to build this dam.
This is the new Bridge they were building which is now open. What a project this was to see being built.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures ~ I have so many more from over the years. It seems like it changed every time I go. So if you come to Vegas make this something you see for sure. Take your time to check it all out. It still amazes me after all these years!
If you have ever been here share your thoughts would love to know what you thought of your visit.
