Do you suffer from your dog’s stinky breath? If so, Best Friend Beauty has what you need to freshen your pups breath.
Dental health is as important for dogs as it is for humans. Veterinarians recommend that we should brush our fur babies teeth at least 3 times a week. That’s where Dirty Mouth Dog toothpaste, by Best Friend Beauty comes in.
This organic toothpaste smells amazing and dogs adore the taste. Made from coconut oil, baking soda, peppermint essential oil, dried mint, your dog is sure to love it. They even include a doggie toothbrush with every order!
So let’s talk about what each ingredient does for your dog.
Coconut oil is fantastic and has so many uses. It’s all natural and organic with no chemicals so it’s safe for your dogs and for humans too. It’s effective against cavity causing bacteria and has antibacterial properties as well. It kills bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
Baking soda, otherwise known as sodium bicarbonate, is great for whitening the teeth. Many human toothpastes include baking soda because it removes plaque from teeth that leads to tooth decay.
Peppermint essential oil is one of my most favorite essential oils. In our family we use this oil almost daily. It kills bacteria that thrives in low oxygen environments like our mouths. It also naturally freshens breath, improves oral health, gets rid of halitosis or nasty dog breath, heals gums and prevents tooth aches.
Best friend Beauty’s Dirty Mouth Dog toothpaste is hypoallergenic, vegan, all natural, organic, and will keep your dog’s mouth clean and smelling fresh.
So what did we think?
Our German Shepherd Bayleigh, loves this toothpaste. I’ve been brushing her teeth since we first got her, and she’s pretty good about it, but never has she liked a pet toothpaste this much. Our other fur baby Josie, likes the taste of the toothpaste but hates to have her teeth brushed. (I didn’t brush her teeth as a puppy, so she isn’t used to the feeling.) So instead I just let her lick a pea-sized amount off of a toothbrush and it helps freshen her breath.
Side note: If you live in a warmer climate, or use this toothpaste during summer months, you may want to store it in the refrigerator. When Coconut oil heats up it will melt, and this causes the oils to separate. So for best results, if it’s warm in your home, store your Dirty Mouth Gog toothpaste in your refrigerator.
