Having kids means you will be celebrating all the holidays! Also, you will need to do crafts and bring in goodies for classroom parties.  This can get quite costly, but I have a PARENT TIP for you…need to go through Oriental Trading.  They have so many products that can be used for crafts, classroom parties, and other events. However, what I love the best is the PRICE…oh my goodness you will save a lot of money!

Now for a WARNING….you will stay on the site for awhile because there are so many cool things, or it might just be me but 30 minutes went fast! They have something for every holiday, party, weddings, toys, and teacher supplies.  Every holiday I check out Oriental Trading for crafts to make with the kids.

Day of the Dead

For Halloween this year my daughter wanted to make something special for all her friends.  She has been really into Sugar Skulls, and on Oriental Trading they have Day of the Dead Ornaments with Card Craft Kit Each ornament includes self-adhesive foam pieces and a satin cord. Foam. 3″ x 3 1/2″ Makes 12 ornaments. Under $7 to make 12 cool ornaments.

For her close girlfriends, she made Day Of The Dead Skull Earring sets.  This is the perfect Dia de Los Muertos craft project! Being able to create stylish jewelry to give as gifts to friends and family was so much fun making them.  Also, it is affordable, makes 6 pairs and less than $9.  Amazing!

Halloween

This Halloween we decorated pumpkins but not the usual Orange Pumpkin!  We have seen this craft with crayons and hair dryer all over the internet. So we thought it would be awesome to try it on the DIY Decorative Pumpkin Set.

We grabbed our glue gun and a lot of OLD CRAYONS….fall colors (or any color you need for a holiday).  Glue crayons on top, we broke some of them so they would fit on top.

Then we took a HAIR DRYER and on low heat started to melt the crayons (we first had it on high heat and the crayons came right off).  Also, make sure to have paper or plastic underneath the pumpkin because the wax will fly.

We had so much fun doing this craft plus it is very kid friendly. Take your time and enjoy creating decor for HALLOWEEN.  Our pumpkin is one side Halloween and the other side Thanksgiving colors so we kept the pumpkins out until it was time for Christmas.

Now for the smaller pumpkin, we wanted to paint black and decorate with the Jumbo Self-Adhesive Jewels, but we decided to keep white to match the other one.

This was so fun to decorate and easy to make.  So many colors and shapes. You can add some sparkling color to your seasonal craft projects with these jumbo size jewels. Featuring an array of rainbow hues and unique shapes. You simply stick the self-adhesive jewels to whatever you want to jazz up, think notebooks, shoes, folders, and other craft projects.  You can get 100 pieces for under $8.
