Get Your Snack On This Summer
I am amazed at all of the food-themed monthly subscription boxes that are available on the market — everything from candy to snacks to full meals. There are so many that it can be hard to decide which ones to try. Snack Box is a monthly subscription service from Try The World that features five snacks from five different countries every month. Each of the snacks featured within it are items that can be eaten straight from the box with no prep — super easy and very fun! The company offers free shipping on subscriptions, too, which is always nice.
My daughters are members of another monthly box service that features similar type snacks so I knew they would be really excited about trying out all the goodies in this one.
Opening the box was a little bit like Christmas morning here at my house because just look at all the great stuff that was included in the box we received! It even included a chocolate-based snack, which impressed my sweet tooth immensely. 🙂
Included in this box are the following:
- Ginger Snaps from Nyåkers (Sweden)
- French Truffles from Truffettes de France (Canada)
- Cookies from Orientines (Morocco)
- Dried Berries from Biokia (Finland)
- Rice Crackers from Siammit (Thailand)
Everything in this box was delicious. My personal favorites were the Ginger Snaps and French Truffles. The French Truffles had a dusting of cocoa powder on the outside and in my haste to try them, I accidentally inhaled a little of it into my lungs. After the coughing fit, I figured I’d better be a little more patient to enjoy them. And oh my, they were so good! The Ginger snaps were very crispy just like a good one should be. I am only slightly ashamed to say that this snack made it’s way to the coffee table next to where I sit on the couch every night and was enjoyed every night for a week until the box was gone. No one else at my house was interested in trying them, so… their loss!
My daughters favored the Dried Blueberries and Rice Crackers. And we all enjoyed the cookies, even my teenage son who seems to exist on pizza, peanut butter crackers, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. LOL
Have you ever tried a monthly food subscription box before? If so, which ones and did you like them? If not, do you think that the Snack Box might be your first?
