Fragrance Is A Lady’s Best Friend
I used to have at least several different kinds of perfume around my house at all times. Somehow, over the years, my fragrance collection has dwindled down to almost nothing. It is way past time for me to have some new perfume. You know, the kind that doesn’t include ripping those sample fragrance pages out of fashion magazines. 🙂
The problem is that I’m not sure what kind of perfume I’d even like anymore. There are so many hundreds of different varieties of fragrance on the market that it is a totally overwhelming proposition for me. I don’t recall having such difficulty choosing perfume before, I would head to a department store and just sniff a few and choose one I liked. I guess after having children and then deciding to give up my career to be a stay at home mom, this is one of those things that I just neglected until it seemed unimportant to me after a while.
For my first foray back into the world of fragrance I decided to try a scent from Carthusia, a company based in Italy on the island of Capri.
Back when I used to wear perfume regularly, I used to love sensual, musky scents. I still do, but sometimes I want something lighter. This great-smelling fragrance from Carthusia has really nice citrus notes to it. It’s like no other fragrance I have ever owned before and I’m really enjoying it! The light fruity scent makes Carthusia Mediterraneo the perfect addition to your Spring fragrance collection.
Dedicated to the cradle of all the great civilizations of Europe, Africa and Asia, Mediterraneano is a solar fragrance, original yet versatile, which blends the classical pristine freshness of lemon leaves with the youthful and sparkling tones of green tea. —– Carthusia website
This Carthusia fragrance not only smells great, but it comes in a beautifully simple box packaging. The perfume is presented in a nice-sized glass spray bottle with a fancy carved topper. I especially can appreciate (as an art lover) the beautiful island woman depicted in the center of the product label. Isn’t she beautiful?!
It looks so elegant sitting on the glass shelving of the pretty armoire that I have in my bathroom. When I walk through that room my eye is constantly drawn to the Carthusia bottle, which I have situated next to a decorative bowl containing a matching Asian-design necklace and bracelet set that I love to wear when I dress up to go out to dinner with my husband.
Carthusia fragrances smell great, look beautiful and will make a great addition to your fragrance collection or as gifts for any occasion. Being a unisex scent, it’s great for all the guys or girls on your gift lists!
In 1948 the prior of the Carthusian Monastery on the breathtaking Italian island of Capri, discovered a volume of historic perfume formulas dating back to a time when the monks living there began to discover the exquisite aromatics of the herbs and blossoms on the island. With the Pope’s consent, the formulas were revived by a local chemist and developed into a unique range of fragrances called Carthusia. Today, these legendary and exclusive fragrances are crafted in limited production and made with the same care as decades ago.
