Air your house out:
I know during the cold months it might be hard to open the windows, but even just opening it a little will help air out your house and at the same time bring in that fresh air. For best results, open windows in multiple rooms to get a cross-breeze and if you do not have a breeze outside, then turn on your ceiling fans. That helps circulate the air in the rooms. Even just a few minutes of open windows will make a huge difference in the way your home smells.
Give your house a good cleaning:
This might be more time consuming, but giving your home a thorough cleaning at least once a month will help keep those odors away. This is beside your everyday cleaning you might do. Start in the kitchen and make your way through each room. To help cut down on dust in your home, try decluttering before you start deep-cleaning. It’s much easier to keep clean, clutter-free surfaces dust-free and smelling nice! Wipe down all counters, windows, get into every space you can and give it a deep clean.
