I often talk about pasta being an extremely popular dish in my household. It’s easy to prepare and very good on our grocery budget.

Sometimes, it’s hard to think of a side dish that can go effortlessly with a good plate of spaghetti or chicken alfredo. Recently, we’ve been turning to garlic bread because just like pasta, it’s easy to put together and the ingredient list isn’t too heavy on the wallet.

My extra-garlic garlic bread is a hit with my entire family. They love how quick it is to prepare – we can have it ready just within a few minutes. So yes: that means dinner gets into our hungry bellies even at a speedy time… exactly what we need after a long day!

Extra-Garlic Garlic Bread

Ingredients

1 stick salted butter, softened

4-5 cloves garlic

1.5 teaspoons dried parsley

Slices of bread of your choice (I usually use a baguette)

2.5 cups cheddar cheese, grated

Process

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. In a food processor, pulse your butter, garlic cloves and dried parsley until all ingredients are well combined with one another.

On a baking sheet, place your slices bread evenly apart. Spread your garlic butter on each slice and sprinkle generously with grated cheese.

Bake for 5 minutes (or until cheese is completely melted) and enjoy!
