When fatigue is very present from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed, work can seem like a mountain you will never quite summit. The hours blur together, you read the same paragraph over and over, and you just want to put your head down and sleep. These days come and go in all our lives, and what many of us fail to realise is that there are ways to remedy these sleepy, stressful days.

First up on the checklist is your sleep cycle. Not getting enough nutrients in the morning is common, which can lead to dips of energy in the daytime right around when you’re attempting to make sense of pages and pages of work. Try eating a larger, protein and carbohydrates-filled breakfast with sources of iron, calcium and some fats. For an omnivore, eggs with bacon, toast and spinach is nearly ideal for this, and it will keep you fuller for longer. You should see the positive effects behind this immediately, and if combined with smaller lunches and dinners, you could even see healthy weight loss.
The remedy to a head-on-desk kind of day isn’t one thing in particular, but several things combined, and fixing these unassuming holes in your day-to-day life is the best way to combat those midday blues and get your body back on track to success.
