Even though summer is quickly fading into fall there’s still time to spruce up the outside of your home. Don’t let summer pass you by without making your home feel like a summer sanctuary. Whether you frequently entertain guests or have younger children, it’s nice to incorporate beautiful elements that brighten up your outdoor space. A patio and yard can be brought to life with simple elements. Transforming an outdoor space also doesn’t have to be time consuming if you’re short on time. Here are a few projects you can work on while the weather is still warm. Invite your kids to participate in transforming your yard and outdoor spaces into a peaceful haven that everyone will enjoy.

Select Vinyl Fencing for Your Yard

If you’re in need of a quality fence for your yard no other fencing is quite like vinyl fencing. Vinyl withstands the elements and it does not rust, look old, or will fade over time. What’s more, vinyl fencing provides you with beautiful choices such as DuraGrain which looks like real wood and comes in cedar, adobe, or tan. Discover vinyl fence design choices that will make a fence stand out and look beautiful surrounding your home and garden.

Place Flower Pots around Your Yard

Do you have a garden nursery near your home? Planning a trip to a local flower nursery can be a fun outing the entire family can enjoy. There are a variety of flowers to look for and you can also learn about the plants by asking staff members any questions. Keep in mind that it’s important to pick out flowers and plants that will survive past the end of summer. For a jolt of color considering picking bright plants that will stand out. Once some of your favorite flowers in pots have been picked out and purchased at a local nursery you can display them in your yard.  Place them in different spots for variety as opposed to keeping them all together. The plants will look radiant placed next to a place where guests and your children like to play and socialize.

Spray Flower Pots

After you’ve purchased your flowers you can add even more color to your outside sanctuary by spraying the pots they came in or purchasing better pots where the spray paint will adhere. Terracotta pots are a better selection because the spray will adhere to these pots more as opposed to plastic. You can find these pots at patio and garden stores or home good stores if you don’t see them where you picked up your plants. Whenever you start this project outside put down a newspaper or a painter’s cloth. Also do this project on a calm day when there are no winds. After the pots are painted and have dried enjoy displaying a rainbow of colorful pots and flowers that will look absolutely stunning in your outdoor sanctuary.
