If you’re looking for some cute, fun, and cool books to give as gifts this year, then Capstone has what you need!
Capstone is Cool!
I love to read. I always have. It was passed down to me by my mother, and her mother before her. While Liam doesn’t really like to read, he LOVES to be read to! So when Capstone reached out to us and asked if we’d like to check some of their titles, I was stoked, and so was Liam. I am so excited to tell you about the books they sent us!
Christmas Board Books
Let me start by saying, one look at these books and I was in love. The titles are so catchy, and the illustrations are just precious! These board books are perfect for little hands, and growing minds! You can purchase them all HERE, but read on to learn more about each one.
The Elf Boogie
A rhyming book that’s sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face, young or old! Your children will have a blast doing the Elf Boogie as you read them the rhymes.
The Reindeer Book
This precious story rhymes all well. Just like the Elf Boogie, your children will love shaking their booties and doing the Reindeer Dance.
The Snowman Shuffle
Another fun dance that’s perfect for Christmas time, or winter in general. Liam’s favorite part was all of the “otomotopee” words. He meant all the onomatopoeias. He loves to verbally stim on words that are a sound.
The Santa Shimmy
There’s nothing cuter than watching Santa his caboose! Kids will love looking at Santa doing the shimmy in this book. I can guarantee they’ll be shimmying too!
Okay, this one is my son’s most favorite! He has actually read it himself, at least 8 times since we got it. (Batman happens to be his favorite super hero.) In this precious story, a young boy prepares for the great adventure of bed time. Michael Dahl does a wonderful job of comparing how the Dark KNight prepares for adventure, and how the young boy gets ready for bed. The illustrations by Ethen Beavers are so cool! Liam adores them! DC Comics™ nailed it with this book!
Herbie the Hedgehog is happy little boy, who loves to be at home with mommy. One days mommy tells Herbie she thinks he’s ready to have an adventure without her. He’s not sure and very scared. A big wind blows, and takes Herbie on an adventure whether he’s ready or not!
I’m all about lazy crafternoons! If I could just do that everyday, I’d truly be the happiest person in the world! I was thrilled to receive this book from Capstone. It’s chock full of fun little craft projects. Perfect for rainy or snow days, which lets face, for many of us, the snow will be here soon, (if it’s not already!) The crafts within are great for kids (and adults) from 4th grade and up.
Last but not least is the book Origami Chic. The pages are full of instructions and illustrated diagrams, to teach kids how to make run way ready designs. It even comes with fancy paper for you to use! Everything you need to create stylish origami clothing is included. Think of it as a paper doll fashion book, but for the new generation! Kids from nine years and up will love it!
