A Christmas Gift guide For People Who Love Their Technology

Smart watch

The newest toy on the market for those tech savvy people. I’m going to start this smart watch review by seeking its professional and social benefits. The Pebble Watch is the next interesting extension for smartphones.

Just by looking at we can see that it’s black and brown leather strap along with the matte black finish is perfect for wearing around work for a classy look, not to mention being compatible with Android and IOS, you can access text messages, emails by connecting through Bluetooth.

Although the work benefits are limited, its apple store is always updating new third party apps that allow you to work with, so for that reason I definitely the worth in what you’re buying as the Pebble watch price is cheaper than most big branded watches.

Socially, it’s great for choosing music from your wrist. This is great if you’re into sports or traveling because the battery lasts for seven days. In most cases, you can put your phone in your bag and not have to worry about it. Although if you do decide to put it away, the Pebble Watch has a stainless-steel case.

One of the last great things in which really makes a difference is that if you do decide to buy the Pebble watch, it’s waterproof for 50 meters. For me, any watch that isn’t waterproof these days is not considered to be as worthy as the others.

Amazon Eco

The Amazon Eco is a hands-free speaker that allows you control it with your voice. Made up of 7 microphones it uses 360º omni-directional immersive audio to fill the room.

Firstly, the bite to this product is its capability of hearing you from across the room with far-field voice recognition. This also works in noisy environments or while playing music. So, what happens when you have control? Well… here’s what it can do.

  • Answers questions
  • Reads audiobooks
  • Reports news
  • Traffic and weather
  • Provides sports scores & schedules
  • Choose to play music from Amazon Music & Spotify
  • Controls lights, switches & thermostats

Just like to smart watch, the fact that these tech gifts are connected to the online store means that it’s always updating and improving, so you’re not just paying for the device itself. Over time with its ongoing development, it becomes more valuable. You don’t even have to do anything as it automatically adds new features and skills.

Although 95% of the time it will recognize your voice, deciding where to put it can be tricky as it will only pick up from one room at a time, unless you have super thin walls! I can’t image walking around with the Eco, although there are carrying cases available.

Now I’ve tested this product and tried to pick up some drawbacks. Its features are great; it looks good, and worth the price as I’m constantly finding new possibilities with this product. It’s not completely A.I, but overall, a great gift.

Filming drones

Drones are also used by filmmakers as they usually have a camera attached to the base. They can be controlled through an iPad or a drone operating remotely so you can see what the drone is recording. You can manually control them in one spot or choose to have them lock onto a target to follow and record.

These also have object detection imbedded into their operating system. This software recognizes and object and will stop in its path if it detects s a wall. This ensures that your drone doesn’t start flying into things. It’s this object detection that allows us to lock onto targets and follow them. This could be great for sporting activities such as snowboarding as it will follow you down the mountains.

Racing drones

Racing drones are those that are designed for quick and complex adjustable movements. To really break down the pros and cons to these fab machines I needed to take a look at the different designs available, and compare them against each other. Racing drones are those used in competitions and other licensed flying events. There are some design differences between the two drones and racing seem to take a more complex approach.

This drone needs to withstand impact so they will be shock resistant and are lighter to move around quicker. Under the hood, they are usually flexible allowing you to install and upgrade to a stronger power system if you wanted. The exteriors are also customizable if you needed to replace your wings.

Overall if you are looking for a drone that will keep for a long time but limits speed and agility, then a film drone is the way to go. If you are looking for something a bit for tasting, then you might want to consider a racing drone. Each do come with a cost but seeing as they are extremely complex and absolutely brilliant creation it would make for a great gift.
