My Hard Candy days had been long gone, I had moved on to getting my makeup from Sephora, and paying a high amount for something to make my face look a bit more easy on the eyes. I still remember using the liquid eyeliner on my lower lash line, and how in the beginning it would sting when the excess liquid ran wild through my eyeball, however after a few weeks, the stinging went away.
Honestly, I had forgotten that Walmart existed. There aren’t any near my town, and Target was always the go to place, however I think I might be looking up the nearest Walmart because of this product. At first glance, I thought I was instantly going to regret this color. It looks like a bubble pink, and like it’s going to be extremely pigmented. Then, I put it on my cheeks, and I thought it was a joke. There was very little color there. How could this product go from 100 to 0 so quickly? I let out a sigh, and decided that my hand probably wasn’t the best option, and would use it getting ready in the morning.
If you were to look at this picture, you would see little to nothing. Looking at it now, I see nothing.. Maybe some pink close to my knuckle? Possibly? However, Once putting in on my cheeks, it actually had pretty good pigment. If you’re someone like me who contours and highlights, the last thing you want is to look like you have ice cream on your face (heh, get it?) and if your blush is extremely pigmented, you have a very small window of mess-up room. However when this was on my face, it was just the right amount of color. If you opt out of blush, it takes away color from your face, and you look very one dimensional, and that isn’t a good look for anyone. You want life and color.
This is the lightest color Hard Candy makes for Cheeky Tints, and I do believe that it would be a better fit for me and my skin tone if I had a darker color, but I use this as a cheek primer for a powder, and it helps keep the blush I use on my cheeks. It’s also a great color and product for the beach. It gives my cheeks a bit of a glow without having to waste all my makeup. I’m able to use a little bit of this product, rub it into my cheeks where I would normally apply blush, and I’m set. If you want to finish it off with a little blush, it’s a great base- but it’s also amazing on its own.
I went on a roller coaster with this product, and it ended on a high. I’ll be getting all of the cheeky tints when I find out the nearest Walmart, because the colors are amazing, and it doesn’t feel like I have any product on.
Currently, Cheeky Tints by Hard Candy are sold out online for walmart, but they could be available in your local store! Below is a link to the color I had, however there are other great colors to try, as well!
