Books That Will Change and de-clutter Your House

Books that can help you create a sanctuary and de-clutter your home!

Lillian Too’s 168 Ways to Declutter Your Home: And re-energize your home  is a great resource to make sure your home is as relaxing as can be.  Every chapter dives into a new area of your home and life that you can de-clutter.  With wonderful tips on how to organize your home and mind this is an all-inclusive resource to restructuring everything in your life.

I loved that this book has so many wonderful tips and tricks that all work together to make your home and life less stressful. One of my favorite tips was making sure your bedroom isn’t promoting arguments. Clutter and piles of stuff can cause you to feel tense or stressed and making sure your bedroom is clear of all of that will help you and your mate sleep better.

Botanical Style: Inspirational decorating with nature, plants and florals is filled with wonderful pictures of what your home could look like. At first glance I thought it was just about botanical plants but to my surprise it incorporated so much more. It presented  several types of  decor using plants. The pictures are fabulous and full color. The author showed examples of different rooms and ideas for displaying live plants. She used several vases, jars, and even antique glasses, pitchers and metal containers.

Each chapter had a theme represented. The rooms were decorated in the certain themes and included bedrooms and living rooms. In each of the rooms all the plants were expertly chosen to coordinate with the theme. So for my favorite theme the author showed you all sorts of tropical plants and had materials and designs that coordinated with it.

In the antique section she used old bottles and put one big palm leaf that was just a striking presentation of greenery. She also mentioned easy tips and suggestions on where to find your greens or supplementary decorations.

The author designs are easily duplicated and will certainly give your room a polished look that is simple and elegant. Don’t worry about what leaves  she used either because she helps you with tips on how to find them from your local florist.
