What can I say about Bella Donna? She is a regular girl part of the time and a witchling the rest of the time. Me and my granddaughter love this series. This is the second book so far and we can’t wait for more. We were hooked when we read Coven Road. My granddaughter is 6 and loves to read and loves to be read to. I love to encourage this by finding books and series that feature girls. Bella Donna shows that it is ok to be different. And sometimes you struggle to find your way. We love the illustrations, they are so colorful and realistic.
Starting out in the orphanage she always knew she was different. And that she wanted to be a witch more than anything else in this world. When Lilith Sorciere shows up at the orphanage. Bella knew she was the mother for her. Now she has a new mother who takes her to their magical home on Coven Road. Where all her dreams are coming true. She is learning how to be a witch! Life is good for Bella.
A regular normal school girl through the day. Witchling when she is at home on Coven Road. It is very hard to keep her magic a secret. When she gets a new teacher at school, she realizes things aren’t quite right. Could it be the new teacher? Is she a witch also? OR is it Bella? She has been studying for a spell casting contest. Is her magic spinning out of control? She is studying extra hard because she really wants to win the contest to make Lilith proud. Witchlike things are happening in the classroom and Bella is getting nervous. I’m not going to tell you the entire book. If you want to know how it all turns out, grab a copy. We enjoyed this book and have read it several times. And i’m sure you will too.
