The first day of school is always exciting. New clothes, new shoes, a backpack full of the coolest supplies and a new hairstyle. Girls are always more concerned about how pretty their hair looks than anything else, but how long does this hair obsession last? Before you know it we are slapping their hair into a boring ponytail and sending them on their way. The ponytail might switch positions but the style never changes. Sometimes our girls want something a little different.
One style that never gets old is the high bun. Using the Revlon Sophist-O-Twist and Scalp Sensations Cushion Brush, I created the perfect high bun for my daughter. Normally this style requires a lot of rolling, tucking, and an insane amount of bobby pins, but the Sophist-O-Twist eliminated all of that. By simply pulling her hair through the loop and rolling it upwards, I was able to give her a new look. This definitely saves us time in the morning.
The Sophist-O-Twist can be used to create several other styles like a side bun, half up-do bun or a French Twist. No pins or clips are needed. This soft velvet bun creator, which can be found at Target for $6.99, holds everything together for you.
And of course this style couldn’t have been possible without the Scalp Sensations Cushion Brush. Revlon’s new Scalp Sensations brush collection includes the paddle brush, cushion brush, and all purpose brush. These are the only mass retailed brushes with extra large ball tips. That’s 3x’s the normal size! The extra large bristle ends were created to promote a scalp massage effect. The Scalp Sensations Brush Collection can be found at Wal-Mart, HEB, and Bed, Bath and Beyond for $6.99.
