Amazon Launches Original Kids Series Bookaboo on October 28 on Prime Video.
This post is sponsored by Amazon-Bookaboo but all opinions are mine 100%
Oh my goodness, what an AWESOME show Bookaboo is, I think I enjoyed it more than my kid. As a parent, I see where this show CAN HELP my kids and ME! I work FT plus 2 children so when do I have the time to sit down and READ a book with them, very rarely these days. I let my busy life take over, but my kids still need to enjoy books, right?
Here is sneak peak of what to expect:
Amazon Prime Video and the show Bookaboo is there for my kids! This brand-new Amazon Original Kids Series, Bookaboo, is set to premiere October 28 on Prime Video in the US and the UK. The series is for preschool-aged children that incorporate the fun and benefits of adults and children reading together.
Bookaboo combines puppetry, live action, and CGI animation, and every episode features a different celebrity guest, who goes “backstage” to share their favorite picture book with Bookaboo.
Who is Bookaboo? He is the most adorable world-famous drummer puppy and star of the show who needs to be read a book a day or he just can’t play. I love PUPPET shows because I grew up on the Muppets and with singing plus dancing it is always so much fun watch! Bookaboo takes it to another level, and he won’t play until a special guest reads a book.
A Story A Day Or Just Won’t Play
Sorry, the picture is blurry, but it was playing while I was taking pictures! I wanted to show you they have the books illustrations in the show too!
Look who are SPECIAL GUESTS: Paula Abdul (American Idol), Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight), Molly Parker (House of Cards), Hannah Simone(New Girl), Emily Van Camp (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Selma Blair(Legally Blonde), Michael Sheen (The Queen), Guillermo Diaz (Scandal), WWE Wrestler Adam Copeland, NASA Astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield, and NFL player Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We are ready for our SCREENING (jealous I get to see the show before you..just kidding)! You will need musical instruments to jam with Bookaboo!
Bookaboo, the latest addition to Amazon’s award-winning preschool programming slate, is created by Lucy Goodman, Founder of Happy Films, and produced by Happy Films and Sinking Ship Entertainment (Odd Squad, Annedroids). They did such a fantastic job with the puppets, real people, and the MUSIC!
Do you have AMAZON PRIME? (By the way the best thing ever and so worth it) Well on October 28th (this week) Prime members will exclusively be able to watch Bookaboo via the Amazon Video app for TVs; connected devices, including Fire TV, mobile devices; and online—Prime members can also download the series to mobile devices for offline viewing. Being able to watch offline I find very helpful when we are out and about, road trips, doctor visits, or just in the car for a long time. Kids get bored, and I don’t feel my phone is babysitting them, it is entertaining them.
I will be honored if my kids watched Bookaboo because it will introduce them to books we might not have at home. The special guest reads the books out loud . Also the beautiful illustrations from the book come alive while the book is being read, so kids get to see the pages too. The special guests get into reading, and you can tell they are having a blast too. The picture book that the celebrity guest brings in the special “bookabag” is brought to vibrant life through animation and an interactive, energetic reading that restores Bookaboo’s “bojo.”
After the book reading, it’s PARTY TIME and get those musical instruments out for the kids to bang and shake while Bookaboo performs. So much fun for everyone. I smiled the whole time I was watching and my daughter she enjoyed the illustrations and of course BOOKABOO! Each book incorporates storytelling at it’s best and encourages children to use their imagination.
The entire first season of Bookaboo will be available for Prime members to stream and enjoy using the Amazon Video app for TVs; connected devices, including Amazon Fire TV and mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/originals, at no additional cost to their membership.
