For me the best part of Christmas is the music, we love to decorate and sit by the fire and listen to the stereo in the back round listening to the songs. Brings back a lot of memories when we were younger and daddy would put his tinsel on the tree. He always had it looking like there were icicles dripping from the tree.
What a Beautiful Album! Filled with Christmas songs both new and old, this holiday masterpiece will fill your home, with the holiday cheer. There are nights we just sit with all the lights on and listen to the music, it’s so pretty. The sounds are so beautiful and soothing.
The music is so much more special at this time of years and it is so heartfelt. I find as I age the singers seem to always find a way to make an old simple song come alive with new life and manage to reach the listeners heart in ways. Tomlin whose pen has supplied the vocabulary and scores of countless worship services with staples such as “Love Ran Red,” “Our God, “How Great is Our God,” he is back with his festive debut Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship. The titular is most revealing, this is an 11-track record made for the service of the church.
My favorite song on this album is “It’s Christmas” The way it begins is a jazzy upbeat rendering of “Away in a Manger” and migrates into pop with the chorus. Adding sax and drums, it ends with “Go Tell it on the Mountain.” This feels like Christmas, with joy and happiness.
The songs on this album include:
1. He Shall Reign Forevermore
3. Midnight Clear (Love Song)
4. Noel featuring Lauren Daigle
5. Hymn Of Joy
6. Silent Night featuring Kristyn Getty
7. What Child Is This? featuring Sons & Daughters
8. It’s Christmas
9. A King Like This
11. A Christmas Alleluia featuring Lauren Daigle & Leslie Jordan of All Sons & Daughters
These are all beautiful songs and well thought of. All the songs are great and easy to listen too.
