Here we discuss 8 accessories that protect your vehicle.

The Car Alarm:

A rather common but important auto accessory is the car alarm. Protecting vehicles from thieves by making it more difficult to steal and alerting everyone in the vicinity, the car alarm is a must have. Today, there are several technologically sophisticated and modern options such as those with remote starters and two-way pagers. These alert the driver if the alarm sounds. Silent alarms send a message to the driver when activated while audible alarms blare the car’s horn and flash the lights when activated.

Remote Starters:

An ideal accessory for winter to warm the car up while you are warm yourself, at home, these copy the car’s ignition switch and allow you to start the car while keeping the door locked. Conversely, if your doors are unlocked, these can prevent your car from being stolen.

Upholstering

Protecting your vehicle security wise is important. As is protecting it from damage due to multiple elements. Re-upholstering could be a quick, easy deed such as when fixing a worn seat fabric, repairing a hanging headliner or replacing your car’s carpet or seat covers. Car accessories that can help here are car seat covers. These protect the seat from rips and stains.

Exterior car cover

Ideal for those who live in areas that have harsh weather conditions and/or those who do not have a covered garage space to protect the vehicle, the exterior car cover is an important protection.

Floor mat

Another accessory for the vehicle interior, the floor mat protects it from dirt and snow.

Splash guards

Keeping debris and mud from flying into the air by rotating tires, the splash guards, and/or mud guards are a definite good investment and make the road much more safer for pedestrians, other drivers, and bike riders.

Window Tinting and Paint Protection.

While completely black windows is now banned in many countries for security concerns, modern window tinting is focussed on ensuring privacy and the blocking of up to 99 percent of the Sun’s UV rays. This protects the car’s interior from cracks and fading. A urtehane film applied to the paint protects against scratches and dents in paint protection.

Emergency battery chargers

Emergency battery chargers fall under emergency car accessories and are actually quite important if you are driving an old vehicle or are planning a road trip. These are quite a must have.

The above auto accessories are easy to purchase. However, it is always recommended that these be installed by a reputed mechanic.
