Relaxing! It is one of my favorite things to do. However, it’s so hard to find time to do it with work and a busy family life. I have made it my mission to spend at least 1-2 days relaxing after a long day. The big question is how do I spend that time relaxing? Here are 9 ways I have found helpful for relaxing at the end of a long day.
#1. Take a walk
I found this actually to be very relaxing when it comes to the end of a long day. Taking a family walk helps me to spend time with them, clear my mind, and also relax a little bit.
#2. Play board games
Instead of grabbing an electronic and trying to “relax”, it works best for me if I play board games with the family. Board games are an awesome way to get my mind off the everyday of life. You should try it some time.
#3. Paint my nails
I LOVE doing this at the end of a long day. Painting my nails and making myself look and feel pretty is something I need to do more often.
#4. Listen to music
I have always loved music, but I have discovered that it also really helps me at the end of a long day. I try not to turn on music with words. Instead, I just listen to the sounds and allow my body to relax.
It’s amazing what we put our bodies through on a daily basis. If I want to relax at the end of a long day, I simply do a few stretches. You’d be surprised on how relaxed your body feels after doing something like this.
The world has literally become so crazy that it’s hard to get away from it all. Every time I turn around there is something bad happening. In order to get away from the stress of everything, I choose to spend time meditating. Forgetting about everything, clearing my mind and just breathing.
I have found that one of the best ways to relax after a long day is to journal. I love getting all my feelings down on paper. It’s amazing what runs through my mind at the end of the day. Kind of cool to get it down on paper and re-read it later.
#8. Take a warm bath
I know a lot of you already take a warm bath to help you relax. While I always knew it was a great way to relax, I just now started doing this. I don’t know why I waited so long.
#9. Enjoy a relaxing Aromatherapy blend
I have been using Aromatherapy to help relax at the end of the day. I actually created my own blend to help with relaxation. I used Earthly Elements™ and used the blends Chamomile (calming, nurturing, soothing) and Eucalyptus (cooling, calming, balancing). I’ll give you the directions for making this awesome blend below!
For a relaxing bath:
I choose these oils for the calming effects, we all know after a long stressful day, to soak in a nice bath is very relaxing.
You can also use this in the shower if you do not have a bath tub. You can use a spritzer and spritz a towel or sponge, and it will give you the same effect.
Don’t forget that all of these are AVAILABLE AT WALMART®. In the Nature’s Bounty® Earthly Elements™ line, there are 10 essential oils and 1 Sweet Almond carrier oil, as well as a Nature’s Bounty® Earthly Elements™ aromatherapy diffuser.
Each essential oil that I use in my home is the Earthly Elements™ essential oils from Walmart. Earthly Elements™ has an awesome diffuser, plus all of these awesome essential oils.
