I’ve mentioned time and time again how as a naturally curly haired human being, I’ve spent years trying to tame the curls and achieve straight hair with blow dryers and straighteners. Most of this time took place during middle school when I was also experimenting with white and purple eyeliner and such, so as I didn’t have much insight about makeup, I also didn’t realize how badly I was damaging my hair (I went through a teasing phase–ugh). Come freshman year, my hair was barely past my shoulders and was destroyed and damaged. My split ends were disgusting, and honestly, I was so upset with my hair that I began researching how to attain healthier, longer hair.
I began changing my shampoos, the types of brushes I used, and utilizing oils such as moroccan and argan for my ends. Now a few years later, my hair is so much healthier, shinier, and longer. Still, I am constantly looking to prove my everyday hair routine. Recently I’ve stumbled across the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream, which is a deep conditioning hair remedy that is made up of natural oils and Shea butter. Whether you want your hair to have a burst of life before you go out, or you’re trying to complete transform your hair overnight, this leave-in treatment is definitely a good investment for people with seriously damaged hair, or are simply looking for softer, stronger locks.
Using this cream, I made sure my hair was damp. I took a pretty decent amount and smoothed it onto my ends. Then I worked it up to my roots (but only a small amount went around here–most goes on your ends, then slowly work it up to the crown of your head so by time you reach the top the amount of product you have left is minimal to avoid future greasiness). You may just want to leave it on your ends if you have naturally oily hair.
After putting the product in my hair, I watched a few episodes of Gossip Girl and wrote a little bit in my book. Three hours passed, and I became too anxious to wait any longer to see how it changed my hair. I then showered, used a clarifying shampoo and made sure to wash my hair really well. Then when I got out of the shower, I towel-dried it and pursued to get ready as usual.
Needless to say, the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream completely transformed my hair. The product smelled so nice, and retained the scent throughout the day. The scent actually reminds me of the beach! The cream is overall light and fluffy, but thick and nourishing while it conditions your hair and mends split ends. I noticed that within one use, my hair was shinier, softer, and bouncier. Throughout the day, my hair had significantly less frizz than I’m used to seeing, and was overall more tame.
(That’s my hair. ^^)
I absolutely adored this product. Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream completely transformed my hair. I left it in overnight because I enjoyed it so much, and after washing it out in the morning had such nice hair for the rest of the day. I was worried about greasiness, but my hair was simply full of life, and healthy. The five most noticeable changes were definitely:
1.) Softness – I can’t explain how soft this product made my hair feel. I kept running my hands through it and enjoying the feeling of my curls slipping between my fingers. Usually my ends, even though I try to take care of them to the best of my ability, have a more brittle feeling compared to the rest of my hair. However, this product got rid of that feeling. Believe it or not, after using this product, my ends felt soft!
2.) Shine – My hair was already pretty shiny prior to using this product, but the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream brought out the maximum life of my hair. Color and radiance burst within each strand. I was nervous the product would make my hair feel greasy, but my hair was the total opposite; it was simply healthier, fluffier, bouncier, and catching the light perfectly.
3.) Less Frizz – Where I work, we lack air conditioning, so typically I expect my hair to look terrible by the end of the night. However, keeping my hair curly while using the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream proved otherwise. By the end of the night when I got in my car and looked in a mirror I noticed that yes, after an extremely long, sweaty day my hair was not as beautiful as it was when I finished doing it this morning–but it didn’t look bad. Actually, it looked pretty good considering! I was so excited that this product not only helped condition my hair, but tamed fly-aways and crazy curls from going out of control.
4.) Nice Scent – Like I already mentioned, I’m obsessed with this product’s scent. It smells like Shea Butter–duh–and lasts even after taking a shower, which I was shocked about. The scent is so sweet, and I’m always looking for products that make my hair smell good. The Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream definitely helped add life to my hair and gave it a delicious scent.
5.) Tangle-Free – I had barely any tangles in my hair after using this product. My wide-toothed comb simply ran through my hair without a problem. This is especially good for wet hair because wet hair is so fragile–the less you rip at it, the less you damage. The Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream significantly reduced knots.
Overall, this product is light but effective. It smells absolutely amazing, and works wonders on your hair. It’s available for purchase at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Family Dollar, and other beauty supply stores. The price is also totally affordable, ranging from $5.97 – $6.49. This product can be used daily, overnight, or once in a blue moon and will always have an outstanding, extraordinary effect on your hair. I’m absolutely obsessed with this product, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to transform their hair.
