5 Necessities to a Complete Bathroom
1. Bathroom mirror with shaver point
Both men and women need a shaver, and the very best ones are – in my experience – electric. It is therefore essential for me and also many individuals to have a shaver point installed in the bathroom. The trouble is, they aren’t that good looking, and they can stick out like a sore thumb.
That’s why a bathroom mirror with shaver point is an incredible idea. Bathroom mirrors add space to your bathroom and draw attention away from less desirable looking fixtures such as the shaver point. Make sure that when you have a shaver point installed it supports both 115 volts and 230 volts.
2. Creative lighting
Good lighting is essential within any room of the home. Bathroom lighting is most commonly built in to the ceiling, but it doesn’t have to be; you can create a whole new meaning to your bathroom by installing decorative wall fixtures and by installing a mirror with light. A bathroom mirror with light is a great way to make life easier in the bathroom, as it will allow you to actually see what you are doing when the candles are lit and the lights are off.
You could also install LED lighting on the side of your bath, to create a desirable level of ambiance.
Bathrooms are by their very nature a wet room. It is important that your bathroom is adequately ventilated as the heat generated in there is a playground for bacteria. If you do not have a window which can be opened to let fresh air in, consider having a ventilation fan installed (if you don’t already have one) to extract steam. This will keep your bathroom clean and also make it comfortable to be in.
4. Towel rack
Stop leaving your towel on the floor! Those are the words every man has heard from his partner after a nice relaxing soak in the bath. You can solve this problem by installing a towel rack. Towel racks are most commonly heated and do in fact resemble an upright radiator.
Towel racks are perfect for keeping your bathroom clean and tidy and also for warming towels up before you shower. You can get them in chrome, white, black or any color to match your bathrooms decoration.
5. Floor mats
How many times have you stepped out of the bath on to an uncovered floor and slipped? Not only is this dangerous, but there is a low cost method of solving the problem; floor mats. Floor mats are a brilliant way to warm up your bathroom in the winter (think cold feet!) and ensure that you don’t slip when getting in and out of the tub.
There is much debate on what makes a floor mat a good one, but from experience the best ones have a rubber back, which makes them non-slip on tiled surfaces. Of course, for carpeted bathrooms, mats with a fabric back will be fine. Floor mats also add decoration to your bathroom and can complete a theme.
