Here are five additional reasons to visit Denver this year, so search for cheap hotels now before they are all booked up for the summer tourist season ahead.

5 Additional Reasons to Visit Denver This Year

Foodie Central

According to one globally acclaimed chef, Jennifer Jasinski, Denver has attracted some of the world’s most exciting chefs who each have a special flair in the culinary arts. You will find an amazing assortment of ethnic and artisan foods in Larimer Square, and while dining your way to culinary heaven you can see a few of the sights that make this square an important bit of history.

Artisan Beer

In a city that has their baseball field named after a beer, wouldn’t you expect a wide range of artisan beers brewed right here in Denver? Well, you will and, as the locals say, there’s a more traditional way to get a buzz on and you’ll find it on tap throughout the city.

Exquisite Art Collections

Denver is also home to an art museum that attracts visitors from around the world. The Denver Art Museum sees more than its fair share of traveling exhibitions and it is often this that draws visitors with a passion for culture expressed in visual representations.

Bike Rides in a Bike Friendly City

The ‘Mile High City’ is also famed for being a bike-friendly city and is one of the first in the nation to enjoy a new sensation called ‘bike sharing’. An $8-day charge lets the adventurous in spirit pedal their way around for a true up-close-and-personal view of the city. One thing to be aware of, however, is the altitude. If you are not used to such heights, take it easy. Even walking makes you short of breath so be careful cycling.

Catch a Game (No Pun Intended!) at Coors Field

The Rockies’ hopes for the playoffs this year just might be in a young roster with young catchers leading the pack. With an entire team extremely young and their line-up of catchers among the youngest, the team’s management decided to add one ‘veteran’ to the roster in the form of Ryan Hanigan, who was released by the Phillies on March 28 so that he could sign with a team hoping to take their season much more than a mile high.

So there you have at least five interesting things to do when you visit Denver this year. You may decide to hit some of the local ‘clubs’, but do save the bulk of your energy to enjoy Denver outdoors and some of the most beautiful scenery in the entire world.
