39 Things to Make a Cancer Patient Smile

I have another book to tell you about. Today we’re going to talk about 39 Things to Make a Cancer Patient Smile by Susan Reif. Read on to learn more about this inspiring book.

39 Things to Make a Cancer Patient Smile

Cancer has a major impact on our society. In the United States, One million, six hundred and eighty-five thousand, two hundred and ten people were diagnosed with Cancer in 2016. I’m willing to be at least one of these people are either your family or a friend. That’s where the 39 Things book comes in.

On September Twelfth, 2006, Susan herself was diagnosed with breast cancer. This book includes thirty-nine ways that Susan Reif’s family and friends made her smile, offered her comfort, and helped her to carry on fighting.

Big or small, it’s the thought and the love that counts

Usually, whenever we hear that someone we care for is ill, we ask, “What can we do to help?” This book will answer that for you. From small gestures, to big ones, you’ll be sure to find some way to help the warrior you love. Whether you send them customized candies, drive them to one of their many appointments, or sit with them through their chemo, you’re sure to make this journey, just a tad bit easier for them, and put a smile on their face too!

Being there will mean to world

I firmly believe that chemo and radiation only go so far. Those suffering through Cancer need strength to fight this horrible disease. They all find this strength from within, but as a family member, or a friend, we can help bring that strength out of them. Being there for them, and doing even small things for them will help them fight harder.

Don’t forget their family

I just want to take a moment and say that if the person fighting also has a family, then doing something to help them would be great too. You’ll not only be helping their family, but in turn, you’ll be helping them at the same time. Especially if the fighter you love is a mother or a father. We all know how hard it is to juggle a family when we’re sick with a cold or flu, but imagine the strength you would need to do all that, while still fighting something like Cancer.
